Proposed topic essay (Rough Draft)

Sir Francis Drake was born 1540, in the estate country of England. Francis was an Englishman and an English explorer. He was a successful privateer, a talented navigator, and one of the most renowned seamen in all history. He was part of the Engish defeat over the Spanish Armada and being the first englishman to sail across the world. All the articles that I read it didn’t have any sayings about his parents. When he was 18 years old he started ship trading to the Bay of Bicay. By the time he was 23 he went on slaving voyages to Guinea in West Africa. At 24 he was named captain of the Judith. On the Judith he started going on expeditions around the Spanish Main in the west Indies and Central America. Most of there ships were sunken by the Spaniards on there expeditions. He played a big role in history because he helped the English defeat the Spanish and became the first Englishman to travel around the world. Along the way he had a few problems, and met a few friends. One problem he faced was the Spanish attacked him and his men and they almost killed him. Lucky for him and a couple of other men they survived but just barely making it out alive. It will seem as though they would retaliate they didn't they just keep on going on expeditions and they camed prepared this time so if they meet them this time they will have the fire power to back them up. When they last met Sir Francis and his men were prepared for them and defeated them and took over Nombre De Dios. He played a big part in the English history because he defeated the Spanish armada and put a end to there high crime and robberies. Sir Francis Drake died in the year of 1596.

Third Annotation

This article was made by a person named Matt and this article was found at http://library.thinkquest.org/J002678F/sir_francis_drake.htm.
This article gives you a brief story about Sir Francis adventure being the first Englishman to sail across the world. This is a secondary source because it doesn't have any of his quotes or says in this article and it doesn't have any newsletters, or writing from him. This article gives you few information about him but it still gives some information about his back round. During his adventure he met some people along the way and some enemy's along the way and this article gives you little to none information about there dispute or friendship.

First Annotation

The article that I read was Drake Sir Francis about Sir Francis Drake the explorer. The Author of this article was Ernle Bradford and Felipe Fernández-Armesto. The web site I found it on was http://www.britannica.com/shakespeare/print?articleId=31135&fullArticle=true&tocId=1893
This article is a secondary source because it was put together by a person who used secondary and some primary source. Why it is a secondary source is because it gives you facts and some fiction from an other's person point of view. This article is mostly about him and his trip going around he world, and what consequences and problems along the way.

English Ms. Melville

In the story, "The most dangerous game." There are two reasons why Rainsford values liberty over equality.
The first reason why Rainsford liberty over equality is because he's  a hunter. A good example to show this is he killed Ivan and one of Zaroff's dogs during the game. Another example is he said, "The world is made up of two classes-the hunters and the huntees. Luckily for you and I we are the hunters." Lastly he thinks that hunting is the best sport in the world.
The second reason why Rainsford values liberty over equality is because he knows the sounds of a hunter.A good example is Rainsford said, "Pistol shots." That means that he knows the different type s of guns. Another example is he heard an animal that he never heard before so this mean he has hunted a lot of animals. Finally he killed Zaroff and sleep in his bed.
These are the two reasons why Rainsford values liberty over equality.
