Essay of Favorite song

In the song, "Wake up Everybody." The title sounds boring, but on an poets level it uses a lot of poetic devices. The song was created by a man named Harold Melvin in 1975. This poem uses a lot of poetic devices such as sound, image, and a new perspective. For my first reason is this song uses a lot of sound and rhyme. It uses a good sound of rhyme scheme using ABAB CDCD EFEFGG. For example he says, "Way and Can," for his A's, "hand and Can," for his B's. He continues the rhyme scheme all the way to G's. My second reason is he uses phrases that gives readers a clear image of what he is saying. For example he said, there is so much hatred war and poverty." This mean that we're living in a world of war among ourselves. That sends a image in your head of a war. Another line that sends a clear image in your head is, "Wake up all the builders time to build a new land." This sends a picture in your head of some people building a building or landscape.
